Nova Solar installed my solar panels almost four years ago. They did an excellent job with all aspects of the install, including permitting. They also quickly replaced a microinverter that had broken after a couple of years. It has been a pleasure working with Nova Solar.

Kody visited my home today. He was very professional, polite and courteous . He is very knowledgeable about solar panels and the installation process.

Outstanding service from day one site survey, permits, installation, and follow up. They answered all our questions and took time to explain the process. Beckley also help us find grants and programs to help us through the cost of this project including a new roof. So very helpful!

I just wanted to leave this. It was so simple he was on time. He was polite and kind and explained everything to us. Cody is the one that did our site survey. He was awesome. I recommend this company 100% and I usually don’t do that so thank you. Nova solar!

I spent a lot of time researching companies when we decided to go Solar. Nova came out on top in every category. Once we signed the contract they exceeded even those high expectations. They are very professional and communicate well. We knew exactly what was going on with our project at all time. Their turn around time from contract signing to final install was very fast. It was less than 5 weeks between our initial signing and install day. On install day, the team arrived right when they said they would, worked very efficiently, and the system was installed and tested before the end of the day. I would pick Nova Solar over any other company.

We were updated weekly of the project status. The installation team Kodie, Trip, Roberto, and Jyro did an outstanding job. Arrived on time, were very efficient and eager to explain what they were doing and answer any questions. Completed the installation in about 5 hours. Outstanding crew!

Three of our close friends raved about Nova Solar, so when it came time for us to evaluate options, they were one of 5 Solar installation firms we interviewed. Nova Solar, Kodie, and the whole team were fantastic to work with. In addition to being super knowledgeable about where Solar and the Solar industry is going, their focus on transparency and superb communication, made a world of difference. Solar may not be a terrific option for everyone, but if it is for you, I would highly recommend Nova Solar.

They provided thorough information about their process, competitive rates, and took care of permits/inspections. They are knowledgable about their product and answered all of our questions along the way. They even let me climb up on the roof with them during installation to watch and learn about their installation process. Our project manager kept us informed every step of the way. Nova Solar is an awesome company that is staffed by some of the nicest, down to earth people! From getting an initial quote and all my questions answered with Camille, to project management and guiding the entire pre and post installation processes with Kodie, to the extremely smooth installation by the entire crew and continued support for a new solar user, it has all been top notch! I would highly recommend the Nova Solar team for any solar project!

We’ve been very satisfied with Nova Solar. We tried working with a few of the ‘top’ solar companies in the Richmond area and none had the attention to detail or communication quality as Nova Solar. They were able to install faster and had strong performance throughout. We’re now reaching the “system online” phase and we’re confident Nova Solar with continue to perform as we close out the installation and utility process.

Kodie came to my house today to install a panel that couldn’t be installed on the day of the original install. Personally it took forever as me the homeowner to get the electrical service moved out of the way due to red tape. I contacted Kodie and boom 4 days later it is done. Not only did he install the panel but two other panels looked crooked to him from the install. He wasn’t having that so he lined them up so they looked perfect. Totally appreciated that because I am very OCD like he is and details like this are one of many reasons why I wouldn’t recommend any other company in the Hampton Roads to install solar on a new customers home. This review would honestly have to be a book to list all the fine details of the entire process that Barkley and his team made very easy to understand with zero frustration. Then bonus, if you ever have an issue Kodie comes out to take care of it. Total professionalism from the whole team.

The Nova Solar team is phenomenal. We have been customers (in the Fredericksburg area) for years, and we have worked through installs, upgrades, squirrels, and an occasional repair. Everyone, from the owner to the installer, has went above and beyond every time! They do solid work, and they stand by that work!!!

A side note….learn from my mistake! Just buy the Squirrel Guard! It is well worth the small investment!

I rarely write reviews (good or bad), but my experience with NOVA Solar was amazing. The entire process from the quotation to the installation was handled with the utmost care and attention. Kodie and Dameon did such a great job on the install. I would highly recommend NOVA Solar to anyone looking add solar to their house or business.

The entire crew at Nova Solar was amazing to work with. I researched 5-6 different companies over the course of a few months and found things I didn’t like. When I called Nova Solar, it was so refreshing to have an honest, no gimmicks conversation about the actual best solution for my needs. Pricing was the best I found, the communication was prompt, and every person I interacted with was genuinely interested in getting me the right system and making me feel valued as a customer. System is installed and now I’m just waiting for the power company to swap my meter. Nova Solar has kept me updated through every step of the way. I would leave a 10-star review if I could!

Barklie and company did an excellent job performing our medical office solar installation in Suffolk, VA. From start to finish, there was clear, honest communication. Handled any little hiccups along the way extremely professionally. Very reasonable pricing, and superb service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anyone’s solar plans!

I have nothing but good to report on NOVA Solar. During the proposal phase, Barklie was clear in outlining the process, setting expectations, and explanations of technical aspects of the project. After contracts, Sam kept us informed and updated and was responsive throughout. Installation day with Kodie was professional and crisp, and they left the jobsite meticulously clean. I wish all contractors were of this caliber.

When we ran into some issues following the installation of new siding on our home, we had a terrible time finding any reputable solar installers who would work on our system. In fact, one told me that they were only interested in installing new systems. Then I found Barklie and his team at Nova Solar. They helped us right from the start — before we knew it, our system was up and running again, issues resolved, new parts ordered and installed. They were always very professional, willing to answer questions, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We have a large system, and will undoubtedly have needs in the future to keep it working well. We will, without a doubt, be calling Nova Solar for all of our solar needs.
