Mission Statement: EnergyLink’s mission is to provide tailored engineering, procurement, and construction services for commercial & industrial organizations throughout education, government, healthcare, corporate, and nonprofit sectors looking to implement sustainable technologies.

Core Values: Their flexible capital, innovative financing models, extensive resources and highly motivated team make us the ideal partner for organizations looking to integrate decarbonization into their corporate strategy.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  1. Sustainability: Solar energy is a renewable resource.
  2. Low Carbon Footprint: Solar panels produce energy without emitting greenhouse gases.
  3. Air Quality Protection: Solar energy doesn’t release pollutants into the air.
  4. Energy Independence: Solar panels can generate electricity on-site, reducing dependence on the grid.

Cons

  1. Intermittency: Solar energy production is dependent on sunlight, which isn’t available 24/7.
  2. High Upfront and Maintenance Costs: The initial cost of purchasing and installing solar panels can be high.
  3. Specific Land Use Requirements: Solar panels require a certain amount of space and optimal conditions (like being south-facing in the Northern Hemisphere) for maximum efficiency.

Reviews

Positive Reviews

  1. “EnergyLink installed our windows and doors. Great customer service and responsive to all our needs. Highly recommend!”
  2. “I was really pleased with this company. They were helpful and professional. From the initial energy audit to the insulation installation, it was a great experience. The person doing the audit pointed out little jobs that we could do on our own. I felt like they were looking out for me and not just trying to make a bigger sale.

We hired them for adding blown in attic insulation and insulating some exposed rim joists in the basement. The night before they were to come, I was second guessing our decision. Should we have just done the rim joists ourselves? After they completed the job, I was so glad they did it! They were so thorough and protected the things in the basement before starting. They cleaned up after their work and did a level of insulation that I clearly did not have the tools or expertise to accomplish. I am really glad that we hired them.”

Negative Reviews

  1. “Employees that have worked here in the past continue to not receive their pay even after being promised such payment and still encouraged to work despite the lack of a paycheck. There was a “merger” which the CEO lied about at first, saying that it was a “bridge gap loan” which was actually just selling the company and still not paying the employees. I would not recommend working for such a company that holds the value of the employees at such a low level that they do not deem them worthy of payment.”
  2. “This company doesn’t pay their employees. At the time of this review, employees were supposed to receive their paychecks one week ago and they still have not been paid. Employees who are refusing to work without pay are being threatened with termination. I urge you to think twice about working with a company who operates off slave labor.”

We rate solar installers from 1 to 5 stars to help you pick the best one. High stars mean they're really good at what they do and treat their customers right. Low stars? Not so much. We give credit to companies that have been around for a while, know what they are doing, have a high standard of workmanship and equipment, don’t hire subcontractors to keep the bar of solar installation quality high and have good local reviews from real customers (yes, we check if the reviews are actually real or fake). Companies we choose as top-rated know and can help with federal and local solar incentives to help you save, have good financing plans, and guarantee their work. We're here to point you to the solar companies that truly rock, making going solar easy and worthwhile for you.
