Quick Summary

AgSolar LLC has both positive and negative reviews, but the most recent ones are all negative, the company os not doing a good jib, according to many unhappy clients. Here are some insights based on the search results:

  • Positive Reviews: Some customers have had positive experiences with AgSolar LLC, praising their excellent customer service and the ease of the solar panel installation process.
  • Negative Reviews: On the other hand, many customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the company. One of the common complaints is about the lack of management or help from superiors. Some customers felt that they had to figure things out on their own, which they found unfair to both themselves and the customers.
  • Overall Rating: AgSolar LLC has a 2.7-star rating with 145 reviews. This rating suggests that while some customers are satisfied with their services, others have had less than satisfactory experiences.

The reasons for the negative reviews could be due to a variety of factors, including the ones mentioned above. It’s important to note that customer reviews are subjective and can vary based on individual experiences. For a more comprehensive understanding of the company’s performance, it would be best to read through multiple reviews and perhaps reach out to the company directly for any specific concerns.

Some potential concerns about AgSolar LLC that customers have highlighted include:

  • Unprofessionalism and Poor Work Ethics:
    • Reviews highlight significant concerns regarding professionalism, with employees describing the company as filled with “con artists” and describing the work environment as questionable and lacking basic office necessities.
  • Misrepresentation and Fraudulent Behavior:
    • Customers have accused the company of dishonesty, from lying about the performance and benefits of their solar systems to not fulfilling promised financial incentives and warranties. The recurring theme of deceit significantly undermines trust.
  • Poor Installation Quality and Technical Expertise:
    • Numerous reviews complain about the substandard quality of installations, including damage to properties (e.g., roof leaks, unlevel panels) and installations not compliant with electrical codes. Inexperienced installers and supervisors expecting damage as part of the process indicate a lack of respect for customer property and poor operational standards.
  • Lack of Communication and Customer Service:
    • A common grievance is the company’s failure to respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, or complete installations in a timely manner. This lack of communication extends to unresolved complaints about billing and system performance.
  • Failure to Deliver Promised Results:
    • Customers have reported that systems do not produce the promised energy, leading to continued high utility bills, contrary to the expectation of significant savings or credits from solar energy production.
  • Legal and Ethical Issues:
    • The mention of filing complaints with the Attorney General’s office and the necessity for legal action to resolve disputes indicates severe operational and ethical issues within the company.
  • Overall Customer Dissatisfaction:
    • The overwhelming dissatisfaction and regret expressed by customers, along with warnings to others to avoid the company, suggest that AgSolar LLC fails to meet industry standards for quality, reliability, and customer service.

Reviews

Positive Reviews

  1. “I’ve been working with TJ Lindquist on getting solar panels installed. The company contracting him (Kin Home/Vyvue) was absolutely horrible in communicating and doing the design, but TJ got design and install fixed on his side very quickly once he reached out to me. The install was very quick and clear, and then Vyvue was supposed to schedule the inspection before PTO, and never did. I reached out to TJ as I wasn’t able to reach anyone at Vyvue regarding this, and he was able to get inspection scheduled within 15 minutes. TJ, thank you for your help with this!”
  2. “The gentlemen that work for A.G. SOLAR both in the office, and the installers, are wonderful. They addressed me with yes m’am & no m’am. They were so polite, which is unusual in this day & age. They knew what they were doing and did not waste time. Their work ethic was exemplary. I would recommend A.G. SOLAR to anyone looking for satisfaction with the job.”

Negative Reviews

  1. “I have had to personally fix so many of the jobs these guys have done, so many things have been done wrong and not up to electrical code. They should change their name to AG Circus because they are a bunch of clowns and I’m surprised they’re still in business”
  2. ”After three years of trying to work with this company to address the holes they put in our roof, we have decided to file a complaint with the Attorney General’s office. Our roof leaks every time it rains. It has damaged our ceiling as well as an interior wall. This company could care less! They ignore our calls and refuse to answer messages left in their voicemail. They hide behind Emanuel Johnson who refuses to connect you to the managers or owners. Everything we were told was a lie. We are not saving any money on our electric bills, yet we are paying for these panels that do not benefit us in any way. I just want my house restored and the panels gone! Do not do business with this company!”
  3. “I was initially excited about investing in solar. My system installation went pretty smoothly. Unfortunately, the system does not produce as expected. My first full year of solar production was 71% of what was estimated by AG Solar. On my initial sales call, I was informed that additional panels would be installed if our system didn’t meet production and that our electric bill would be covered by the solar production. I still am getting electric bills over $400 along with my $350 Solar payment. I’ve reached out many times and was finally told in October of 2023 that they would escalate my issue and see how they could help me. I didn’t hear anything so I reached out again in November 2023 and never received a reply. I’m beyond disappointed in my purchase. I would have not proceeded with my Solar purchase had I known the production would be so poor and that the company would stop communicating with me when problems arose. I would not recommend purchasing solar with AG Solar.”

Our Expert Recommendation

What’s Good

Focused on Helping Farmers: AgSolar LLC is all about boosting farmers’ profits with solar energy, which is pretty cool. They’ve got a team that knows farming and solar inside out, aiming to make a real difference for folks in agriculture.

They Get Around: Covering Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, AgSolar LLC is making sure they’re not just stuck in one place. They’re out there, ready to roll wherever they’re needed.

Solid Warranties: When a company says their work is good for up to 25 years, you know they’re not just messing around. It shows they stand by what they sell.

Choices, Choices, Choices: They’re not just pushing one type of panel or brand. AgSolar LLC is all about giving you options to fit what you need and what you can spend.

What’s Not So Good

Customer Service Can Be Hit or Miss: A bunch of reviews are saying once the panels are up, trying to get someone on the phone for help can be a real headache. And when things go wrong, getting them fixed is a hassle.

Installation Issues: Some folks have had problems with how the panels were put up, like damage to their roof or the work not being up to code. That’s not what you want to hear when you’re making a big investment.

Trust Issues: There are stories out there about promises not being kept and a lack of honesty from the company. That makes it tough to know if you’re making the right choice going with them.

Legal Drama: Nobody likes hearing about having to call a lawyer to sort things out. It’s a sign things aren’t going as smoothly as they should.

Our Take

Giving AgSolar LLC a once-over, we land on a hesitant 3 out of 5 stars. They’ve got some solid points, like their focus on agriculture and their wide reach. But the mix of good and bad reviews, especially the recent unhappy ones, makes us pause.

Advice for You

If you’re thinking about going with AgSolar LLC, do your homework. Chat with them directly, ask for recent success stories, and maybe even talk to some of their recent customers. Getting the full picture will help you make a smart decision.

Advice for AgSolar LLC

Listen up, AgSolar: You’ve got some work to do. Step up your game in customer service, make sure your installations are top-notch, and keep things above board with your promises. Clearing up these issues could really turn things around for your rep.

Bottom Line

AgSolar LLC is in a spot where they could either clean up their act and shine or keep sliding based on how they handle these challenges. They’ve got potential, but it’s a bit of a gamble right now. So, tread carefully if you’re thinking about signing on with them.

We rate solar installers from 1 to 5 stars to help you pick the best one. High stars mean they're really good at what they do and treat their customers right. Low stars? Not so much. We give credit to companies that have been around for a while, know what they are doing, have a high standard of workmanship and equipment, don’t hire subcontractors to keep the bar of solar installation quality high and have good local reviews from real customers (yes, we check if the reviews are actually real or fake). Companies we choose as top-rated know and can help with federal and local solar incentives to help you save, have good financing plans, and guarantee their work. We're here to point you to the solar companies that truly rock, making going solar easy and worthwhile for you.
