Excellent so far! We just flipped the switch to turn our solar panel system a few days ago, and it’s been a thrill to watch the “energy generated” number on our app tick up steadily. The whole process was smooth for us. The folks at Renu—especially Almir Hyseni and Megan Price—were exceptionally communicative, responsive, and clear. After receiving a whole bunch of solar proposals, we went with Renu because Almir was the straightest shooter of the bunch in explaining what exactly we could and could not do with our house. Once we decided to go with Renu, Almir walked us through the entire process so helpfully, and it was great to be able to text him with questions both big and small at any time. Once the installation process started, Megan took over and, as we had come to expect, she walked us through every step of the process and responded to my countless emails. (There were countless emails, by the way, because solar will inevitably involve county permits and Duke Energy inspections and on and on…Renu was nothing but efficient and helpful. Still, there are a lot of actors involved in this whole thing.)

Long story short: we’re still very new to all this, but, so far, I couldn’t recommend Renu highly enough.

I’ve scheduled two calls using their online form to get information about cost and options when going solar. I admit, I had to reschedule the first call a few times due to work, however, I did notify them that I had to reschedule. When it was time for the actual appointment no one contacted me, nor did they communcate any reason why they did not show up.

I’ve sent a follow up email and may update this review if they reply, however, I don’t have high expectations given the lack of communication so far.

Deceptive and morally corrupt company I used to work for them until they fired me for no reason never had a write up or a talk

Navigating the solar experience with Renu was enlightening and comforting. Everyone from their design team, project management, and installation team was friendly, helpful, and professional. I appreciated their regular communication and the fact I could quickly reach them, if needed. The installation was timely and their crew was very nice. They communicated throughout the process and cleaned up the site afterwards. They were neat and took pride in their work. I would definitely work with them again.

Horrible company! First off I own several properties in different states that have solar panels installed on them. I contacted Renu energy for a system to install on one of my Charlotte properties. Of course they promised the system would reduce my monthly electric bill and they also guaranteed a certain amount of productivity. once they show me the layout, I noticed that they were going to put 14 panels on my unattached garage that was right beside my tree line in the backyard. I asked would that affect the performance of the system and was told it would still produce much more energy than I used. Well, a year later and my system under performed drastically and it didn’t do much for my monthly energy bill. I contacted the company about this and asked them why they installed the panels on my garage near the trees when I have open roof space that wasn’t beside the main set of panels and their answer was “ I don’t know why they put them there but we showed you the layout “. I asked what would be the resolution to this problem and they said “ move the panels to the clear roof opening “.I said ok and they said they were going to charge me $4000 to move them after paying 49k for my system! They wouldn’t negotiate and told me that’s that!! I encourage you people to do your research. Stay away from this company. They set me up to fail set me up to fail and there is no excuse for their actions!

It was a pleasure of working with Renu, outstanding group of professionals from the salesperson Almir Hyseni to the project manager Megan Price and the installers, I am impressed and pleased with their work from start to finish and even post-installment, getting my feed back and making sure everything is ok, the entire process was seamless and professional.

I have been reffered to Renu Energy Solution by Tesla. My experience with this company has been perfect and as expected. Personally my agent Almir Hyseni is top notch. Explains with state of the art software how my installation will perform and look visually on my house. Explained in great detail my options and understood my needs and plan for going solar. Everything has been smooth and I appreciate the level of detail and updates and communication I’ve received thus far. 10/10 would recommend!

Renu Energy Solutions fell short of my expectations. Their lack of professionalism and expertise led me to seek services elsewhere. Instead of receiving accurate engineering design and advice, I encountered disappointment. Almir Hyseni’s follow-up call, suggesting negotiation on pricing, felt like a tactic from a shady dealership. His assumption about my choice of contractor was unfounded, as I opted for a team offering superior warranties with full-time company employees. Almir’s unprofessional demeanor highlights the flaws in Renu Energy Solutions’ customer treatment. They need to rethink their approach if they aim to retain clients

Renu Energy is a great place to get your solar needs met. Kevin came to my home and fully explained all the details and particulars. Kevin then passed me off to the Project Manager Megan. I can’t say enough about Megan other than she is simply the best at her job hands down! Emails flying back and forth like clockwork to accomplish all the required steps. The in-person staff were very friendly and down to Earth hardworking people. Evan was the team’s leader on the electrical side along with Michael, Austin & Justin. On the roof (panel) side Ben, Luke, Mike & Joey stood on my roof as if reaching upwards towards Heaven. It was a true blessing to have them working on my home. Both teams worked in concert to finish the job. The crew (all of them) cleaned up well and departed. My system had a small hiccup due to the internet. Evan came back and did some troubleshooting and resolved the issue. Evan explained how to turn on & off the system as well as what to do in an emergency. It was a pleasure working with Team Renu Energy. I would fully recommend Renu Energy for all your solar needs!

SOLAR POWER SYSTEM & RENU ENERGY SOLUTIONS. We first contacted Renu on 2/8/2024. Our solar power system was energized today: 4/29/2024. That’s roughly 2.7 months turnaround time for RENU, from first sales response contact to actual sunshine running our house. I’m an Architect of nice mountain homes all over the USA. I don’t know any other company that can do what RENU has and in that short of a time frame. Kevin Sweet is their main Sales Engineer and he is a friendly and knowledgeable pro for RENU. And Devin Royle and Megan Price did a superb job of Project Management, which included all their in-house Engineering, Planning, Building Department coordination, Duke Energy (commercial grid provider) coordination and actual construction team activation. Once again: all activities performed professionally, efficiently and extremely swiftly. No other companies can touch RENU for professionalism, friendliness and operational capability. Zach Mercer was the on-site Licensed Electrician supervising a 7 person team. They roll in and get it done. They took 2-1/2 days for the entire installation which included 36 solar panels on the roof, 2 huge Tesla outdoor batteries, Tesla Gateway and completely rewiring of the entire exterior electrical power. Amazing. And when we activated the solar power system this morning, I was waiting for breakers to trip and other things, but NO: it was anti-climatic, which is what we hoped for. Nothing inside gave any indication that our power was now coming from the Sun. Everything worked just as it had before, which is, of course, what you want: no surprises. Everything continues functioning. I’m a picky son of a gun as an Architect of high-end multi-million $ homes. And RENU is now among my top subcontractor referrals. I got solar almost two months ago from renu I was not happy bc I was supposed to get a 1000 gift card and only got 500. I paid cash in December bc at the time the sales man told me that if I got under contract I will get a 1000 gift card so I got under contract. when installation got done no one knew anything about my gift card same it was for some of the information on the installation paper work I had paid two inverters and they only wanted to install one I had to battle to get two but still waiting my other 500 gift card. Gave them 3 stars bc the guys that did the install was very professional and did a good job but between the sales man and the office they tell you something and and ends being something but not happy bc even on my paper work I was promise A 1000 gift card. Update to this review Ben from renu energy just contacted me today and fixed the issue with the gift card and provided me with the new gift card.

Thought the installation went well, but soon realized, after a few weeks, the service had stopped working after the first week- Good thing I accidentally noticed- it could have been months if I hadn’t checked. It took about two months of swapping out fuses and other parts to get it working.

The most frustrating part was the customer service- or lack of it. I never had a live conversation with my “project manager”. They never answered the phone. I would get an e-mail a few hours or a day later- as if they didn’t want to actually talk to customers. When I finally decided to contact upper management from the website about the problems (I left messages with a few of them)- they didn’t reach out either. If it weren’t for “Ben”, who reached out on an unrelated matter, I would give them one star. He checked back, followed up and was great- the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing project.

Had an overall great experience with Renu and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase solar.

Very professional, courteous, timely & looks great.

Renu installed my system in October. I have had no issues and am very pleased with their work. The guys were very professional and efficient and explained everything they were doing. I received detailed installation plans ahead of time and everything went as scheduled.

Since becoming a solar homeowner I have joined a few online groups and have heard of many problems other people have had with installers less reputable. I feel secure that these people will be around and respond if a problem does arise in future years.

I only had panels installed – no batteries – but my power bill has decreased substantially. I’m looking forward to seeing how much energy the system produces as the days get longer and sun more prevalent. Highly recommend using Renu for anyone interested in going solar.

Renu made the whole process a breeze. From scheduling to installing to paperwork and documentation, Renu did all the hard work in an impressive time! All the while, Renu maintained open and frequent communication. There was no question about what the next step would be. Would definitely recommend.

These guys were a pleasure to work with. Justin in the sales process was incredibly patient with me, as I needed. The sales process took like 3 years.
