Reviews

Positive Reviews

  1. “Future Energy Savers did everything we asked and more. Never missed an appointment and our system works extremely well. We wanted to purchase rather than rent and the system they installed is excellent for what we needed/wanted. Would have given them 5 stars if the cost was a little less.”
  2. “Good system, difficult install. We picked Future after getting quotes from three companies, and appreciating the idea of well-established Generac equipment. And had the misfortune of signing up right before NEM 2.0 ended, which led to a long 6-month delay installing (including city permit delays) and some problems with the initial install crew. Future sent a very experienced follow-up crew that buttoned up the install quite well. Dinging Future for poor communication about what to expect when, but in the end everything was installed and functional exactly as described. Couple of months later, PG&E had a night outage and it was so very nice to have lights and refrigerator still running on battery.”

Negative Reviews

  1. “In August of 2022 we had our solar installed by Future Energy. The installation was done in one day and they explained and showed us how our system worked. We downloaded the app so we could see our system working. Many times, we had concerns that our system was not working properly, and we called, and left a message and got a response quickly that they checked our system on their end, and it was working properly. During a couple of power outages during the year our battery backup was able to power our home for the time we needed it. We were thankful on the nights of the outages that we could still have lights and our TV on. Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of power we have not saved much during the cold winter or the hot summer days. When we decided to install solar panels, we looked at what we were spending on energy and figured that with the monthly cost of the solar and the cost of power from SUMD we would only increase our energy cost by $50 on the months we use more energy. Again, due to the rise in cost we are paying more for our energy than we ever imagined and the cost of solar has made it difficult for us most months. We do like the system and having our battery backup when it is needed. We do wonder if we should have had more solar due to the money it is costing us for power. It has been difficult to get through to someone at Future to ask these questions. Hopefully we will be able to get a hold of someone and get more answers.”
  2. “Future Energy is a fledgling, new company that has already established itself in California as a provider for a premium solar power package. Its costs are as high as they go when solar power installation companies are considered, and many customers will rightfully feel left out by this.”
  3. “Future Energy Solar has a reputation for being good value. Reviewers state that the quotes given by them were highly competitive. Customers were also very pleased that the prices quoted were what was charged after the completion. As they offer a large variety of panels, the costs can vary quite a bit.”

Our assessment of this company is based on several key factors, including their services, products, customer reviews, and other evaluated criteria. Here’s our take on why Future Energy stands out as one of the best companies in the state.

Future Energy offers a wide range of services and products. They provide comprehensive solutions integrating customer experience, data, and processes with EV charging, lighting, energy, and other connected technology systems. Customer Reviews

Customer reviews are a crucial aspect of our evaluation. Future Energy has received an average rating of 5.0 from 92 reviews. Customers have praised the company for their excellent work, great communication, and attention to detail. However, it’s worth noting that some customers have mentioned a delay in getting the panels installed due to the company’s busy schedule.

Warranties, Certifications, and Insurance

Future Energy provides a 25-year workmanship warranty, a 25-year manufacturers warranty, and a 25-year roof penetration warranty. They also have Contractors Bond, Liability Insurance, Workers Comp Insurance, and Commercial Auto Insurance. These warranties and insurance policies provide customers with peace of mind and attest to the company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

What We Liked

We were impressed by Future Energy’s comprehensive range of services and products. Their commitment to customer satisfaction, as evidenced by their positive reviews and extensive warranties, is commendable. The company’s flexible financing options also make it easier for customers to invest in renewable energy solutions.

What We Didn’t Like

The only downside we found was the delay in installation due to the company’s busy schedule. However, this seems to be a common issue in the industry, especially for well-regarded companies.

Based on our assessment, we would recommend Future Energy to those looking for reliable and high-quality renewable energy solutions. Their commitment to customer satisfaction, extensive product range, and flexible financing options make them a standout choice in the renewable energy sector. However, potential customers should be prepared for possible delays in installation due to high demand for their services.

We rate solar installers from 1 to 5 stars to help you pick the best one. High stars mean they're really good at what they do and treat their customers right. Low stars? Not so much. We give credit to companies that have been around for a while, know what they are doing, have a high standard of workmanship and equipment, don’t hire subcontractors to keep the bar of solar installation quality high and have good local reviews from real customers (yes, we check if the reviews are actually real or fake). Companies we choose as top-rated know and can help with federal and local solar incentives to help you save, have good financing plans, and guarantee their work. We're here to point you to the solar companies that truly rock, making going solar easy and worthwhile for you.
