I was very excited to work with Affordable Solar since the company I was working with before went out of business. I spoke with James. My solar app wasn’t working properly. I kept getting notifications saying there was an alert and the app wasn’t showing production & I was interested in possibly buying more panels. We made an appt for him to come to my home in a week. He never showed or called to cancel. I thought maybe I got the date wrong but I knew for sure it was that week. So I waited until Friday and still no one showed or called so I emailed asking if I got the wrong date. No, I didn’t. Apparently they had a business emergency down south and no one thought I should be contacted to reschedule. So James asked if another date would work. That date didn’t so he offered another date. It worked for both of us so we scheduled another visit. This time James showed up. I showed him the emails. He got on the roof, updated the software & came back to let me know everything was good to go about 15min later. He left & said someone else would be in contact regarding my other concern… more panels. Then I got a bill for $269 for that 15min worth of work (labor). He had told me service calls started at about that price but i figured that was per hour. I probably should’ve called around getting quotes from other companies & not gone with the first guy who said they would come. I feel horrible. Lesson learned. The next guy called me regarding the additional panels. He offered 15 extra panels for $25k which I wasn’t prepared for. He was a very nice salesman but I only wanted a few and after such an expensive “service call” I don’t think I’m interested in doing business with this company.

The install of the 16 panels on our roof was extremely well done. They were in and out under 4 hours with no disruption of our daily life. A job well done. Thank you Affordable Solar.

Affordable Solar is great! I got referred by a family member to set up a new system. Neil called me within a couple days and set up a convenient time for a consultation. The presentation was thorough and he took me through all possible options and costs. Jeri was project manager and always responsive through the whole thing. Install team was on time and finished ahead of schedule. System got inspected and turned on with no issues!

Outstanding service from the point of the sale (thanks Mike!), through installation, and ultimately activation of our solar system. Jeri or one of her staff were in communication with us throughout and often answered our questions before we had a chance to ask them. Affordable Solar’s relationship with PNM is excellent and seemed to expedite the process from permitting to activation. The Enphase app was a little tricky to get working, but we followed the instructions and it came up after a short wait. It shows we’re generating more than we’re using (net) and we’re looking forward to seeing that reflected in our electric bill. We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience – Affordable Solar rocks!

Affordable Solar installed my system back in 2010. Over the past 14 years I’ve had a few issues, mostly with micro inverters and Affordable has always been quick to respond and have always fixed any issues in a very timely manner. Their current Service Manager, James Franks, also follows this tradition of service. He responded to my request within 24 hours and everything was working normally again by the next day. He followed up after everything was working again just to make sure it was running smoothly. If customer service is important to you, especially on a system that is going to be around for 20-25 years, this is the company to go with
Every part of their process was so well taken care of!! Even when I had a hiccup with the inspection, Jeri took care of everything!! Jeri and Neil have made the process so smooth. They were both always available when I had questions and never made me feel stupid or like I was annoying. Beyond great customer service at Affordable Solar!! I’m recommending them to everyone!!

Super happy with Affordable Solar’s help getting my system fully operational! My system hadn’t been installed by affordable but James their service manager enthusiastically said he could help me and then conducted some initial assessment based on my on-line system status and said he would need to schedule a truck. Fast forward one week and Paul the service representative was at my home on time and within approximately an hour rang my doorbell to tell me he had solved the problem and the system was 100% working!! Paul was courteous , professional , knowledgeable and quick! Super service visit from my friends at Affordable Solar!
