We received several estimates from solar companies. Some of them wouldn’t even come out to provide an estimate, because they saw on satellite imagery that we have a lot of trees around us, and this was despite the fact that we removed several trees since we bought the house a year ago. Not only did 8M come out to provide an estimate, but they provide the most reasonable one, too. They suggested that we not add as many solar panels at first to see how much energy the panels can produce, since we do have a lot of trees around us. A year later, we’re very happy with our decision and we’re saving hundreds of dollars per year, especially since the energy company raised rates again.

8M Solar has been a great company to work with. Unlike many companies, they did not pressure me into anything. They responded to my (many) questions to help me make an informed decision. The install team worked tirelessly and cleaned up everything on my property. Continued correspondance has also been great. Highly recommended.

I obtained quotes from four different solar companies for a solar system with a Powerwall3. Not only was 8MSolar the lowest price but they also offered the best panels (highest capacity and longest guarantee) and the lowest finance rate. They worked with Duke Energy to get my PowerPair rebate approval. It was a long month waiting for installation (like a kid waiting for Christmas), but installation was yesterday. Everything looks great and is working perfectly. Highly recommended.

I had 8MSolar install solar panels on my home about a year ago, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. From start to finish, their professionalism was evident. They were always on time and transparent about their products, pricing, and processes. In fact, they completed the project ahead of schedule, which was a pleasant surprise.

The entire team, from the sales reps to the engineers, was consistently professional and dedicated to solving any issues that arose. They were excellent at explaining the limitations and were flexible in positioning or repositioning the panels to optimize my energy input.

Their warranty is solid, and I have already recommended 8MSolar to several friends. Overall, 8MSolar is a top-notch company with a great product. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience with 8M solar. Prompt, responsive, and competitively priced. John Willis my solar consultant was very patient with my questions and not pushy at all.

I used 8M solar back at the beginning of 2024 to install solar on my house. They came recommended to me from a coworker, and I have to say I’m glad I went with them. 8M was easy to work with and provided me with a quote that was less expensive than all of the other quotes I received. They were easy to work with a super responsive to all of my emails and questions (and I had a lot). The install day was painless. The team as here <1 day and got the system installed. There was one issue where they had to make an adjustment to get a few panels working, but they came back out immediately to correct it and get it working.

I would absolutely recommend using 8M if you're looking to install solar on your home.

8M Solar was great! The email exchange was pretty consistent and very clear. They made a huge effort to have my solar panels installed ASAP. Got them installed last week, currently waiting for approval to turn the system on. Awesome working with every single one of them since Jon who was my first contact, going through Hamza, the coordinator, and Gavin who was on site making sure everything went smoothly.

First of all, don’t believe the 5-star reviews. Those were bought and paid for. They offer gift cards in exchange for verified 5-star reviews.

That said, here’s my honest review: Terrible customer service, terrible communication, and they significantly overcharged for filing paperwork with Duke Energy. Throughout the process of working with 8MSolar, it never seemed like anyone there could give me a straight answer about anything related to my account. Then, in the end, after I thought everything had been paid for through the original contract, they said that transferring the solar connection to my name would cost an additional $300 — Of that, they said $100 was their administrative fee, and $200 was what Duke Energy charged for the transfer. However, I called Duke, and they said the cost was only $50. So I did it myself.

The entire process from the initial contact to the installed solar system went exactly as promised. The install was very clean and maximized space inside of my garage (for the Tesla 3) and at the end of the install day you could not tell anyone had been at my home they cleaned up so well.

We did have a Tesla 3 software issue in the first month and when I called 8MSolar a technician came out to our home immediately and worked with an engineer on the phone for over 3 hours to correct the problem. The issue was not with 8MSolar but after talking with Tesla 3 service folks the issue was corrected. 2 months in and we are totally satisfied.

They are very Professional and their quote was very much competitive. I got quote from 3 different company and their quote was reasonable. They were very patient to answer my questions regarding solar and PW battery. Whole approval and installation process was very smooth. They kept me in loop during each and every steps. They were also quick to respond to emails post installation. They also helped us with the Duke Power pair rebate program.

In short, excellent service and excellent installation process.

When it comes to this kind of project, it is all about schedule and communication…and these guys nailed it!

During the first step of the process, a sales call, everything was explained very clearly and honestly. They did not try to upsell or hide anything. As the project began, communication took place ahead of time and follow-up after it was completed.

After installation, operational details were explained clearly.

After support – When technical support was needed, their representative helped out.
